The Norwegian food giant Orkla – with brands such as Felix, Ekströms and Abba in the portfolio – reports an unexpectedly strong result for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The adjusted operating profit increased by 25 percent compared to the corresponding quarter the previous year to 2.02 billion Norwegian kronor. The average forecast among analysts was 1.93 billion.

Revenue rose 5.9 percent to 18.8 billion Norwegian kronor.

Orkla's board of directors proposes a dividend of 4 kronor per share and an additional dividend of 6 kronor per share on top of the regular dividend.
