Patrik Fahlgren steps in as assistant national team captain in the men's handball national team.
"It's an incredible pride to be part of leading Sweden", says Fahlgren in a press release.
Last week, Michael Apelgren was contracted as new national team captain for the next four years. Now it's clear that he will have Fahlgren by his side for the same amount of time. Fahlgren will continue as coach for Hammarby.
Fahlgren made 53 national team appearances as a player for Sweden.
He and Apelgren will debut as national team captain duo in the national team matches against France away on November 6 and at home against Denmark on November 10.
