Helly Hansen recalls life jackets, including several models for children, due to the risk of drowning, the company writes in a press release.

”Due to manufacturing problems with third-party suppliers, selected life jacket series from Helly Hansen do not meet our standards and pose a drowning risk to users”, the company writes.

The recall applies to the life jackets Navigare Comfort, Navigare Scan, Junior Safe+ and Kid Safe+. The complete list can be found on the company's website.

According to Helly Hansen, consumers should “immediately stop using the recalled products” and contact the company to get their money back. The life jacket should either be destroyed according to special instructions, or sent back to the manufacturer.
