Turkey and the USA have signed an agreement on Turkey's purchase of F16 fighter jets, according to sources within the Turkish defence ministry.
According to the information, delegations from both parties are negotiating the details of the agreement.
In the deal, Turkey will receive 40 new F16 planes and upgrades to 79 fighter jets the country already owns.
The US Congress did not give the green light for the F16 deal until Turkey ratified Sweden's NATO entry at the beginning of the year.
