Several people have been arrested by the police, announces Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The police have also collected witness statements and evidence, he adds.

The water supply has been partially repaired, to a capacity of a quarter of the normal.

The explosion occurred near the town of Zubin Potok in the border areas with Serbia on Friday evening. After the incident, Kurti, without presenting any evidence, blamed gangs supported by the neighboring country Serbia.

This is a criminal attack, a terrorist attack aimed at damaging important infrastructure for us, he said at a press conference late in the evening.

The EU condemns the attack and calls it a terrorist attack.

"It is a despicable act and a sabotage of Kosovo's infrastructure, which supplies large parts of Kosovo's population with drinking water and is a vital part of Kosovo's energy system", says EU's Foreign Minister Josep Borrell in a statement.

The US, France, and Turkey also condemn the attack. Serbia denies being behind the act.
