Britain's new Prime Minister Keir Starmer should get a "plan to control migration", advises former Labour leader and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Blair warns in a debate article in Sunday Times that the right-wing populist Reform Party, led by Nigel Farage, poses a threat not only to the conservative Tory Party but also to Labour in the long run.

"Look at France and Italy", Blair writes, referring to the far-right's recent successes there.

The Reform Party received 14 percent of the votes in the election and Farage entered parliament.
