Germany's industrial production increased by 1.5 percent in December compared to the previous month.
It was better than expected, analysts had counted on an increase of 0.5 percent, according to Bloomberg's compilation.
Compared to December 2023, however, it is a decline of 2.8 percent. In annual terms, analysts had counted on a decline of 4.5 percent.
