Telia is investing in better internet connectivity along the Southern and Western main lines. According to the telecom operator, the 5G network currently covers 95 percent of the population. This year, the plan is for the network to cover 99 percent of Swedes.
Telia is now starting work on eliminating all "white spots" along the routes Stockholm-Göteborg and Stockholm-Malmö, and by 2030, the goal is to have uninterrupted connectivity on all railway lines in the country.
"We are now approaching the final station for 5G expansion and modernization of the mobile network", says Staffan Åkesson, technical manager at Telia, in a press release.
