It was the second straight defeat for Sweden in just a few days in the EHF Euro Cup.
The Swedish team kept pace with the reigning OS- and World Championship gold medalist Denmark, but ultimately lost clearly. It was still a significant level increase compared to the match against France – another of the world's top national teams – earlier in the week, when Sweden lost 31–37.
Okay against a Denmark that is still Denmark. We are never satisfied when we lose, but we fought well out there, says Michael Apelgren to SVT.
An already long injury list may have become even longer when Jonathan Carlsbogård was forced to leave the match. However, it should not be a major concern for the left-hander, says Apelgren.
It's something with the hand, something cracked. It's hard to play handball then.
The winter's big goal is a couple of months away. Sweden enters the Handball World Championship with a premiere match against Japan in Oslo on January 16.
