I am of course disappointed that we could not manage to turn the match around, but I am also very proud of the performance. I think we played a fantastic football match, especially the first half, says Häcken coach Jens Gustafsson at the press conference after the match, reports Göteborgs-Posten.

The Swedes created nervousness in the return match in Bergen. In the 38th minute, Häcken reduced the score to 1–2 overall after the home player Denzel De Roeve deflected the ball into his own goal.

However, Häcken did not get any closer than that. In stoppage time, Brann missed a penalty after the away goalkeeper Etrit Berisha made a great save.

We made two big mistakes at home against Brann that made us lose all confidence and dignity in that match. It was important for us to be able to bounce back and show something else, that we are a good football team, that we are good players, says Jens Gustafsson.

Now, Romanian Cluj awaits Häcken in the playoff for a place in the autumn's league play of the Conference League.
