The goal meant 3–0 and came in a numerical advantage in the final part of the first period. Center Bäckström was responsible for a delicious pass when Jakob Silfverberg with a direct shot scored his second goal for the evening.

Bäckström has after 18 seasons in the NHL club Washington moved home to Sweden to play with Brynäs – the club he represented when he broke through as young.

In recent years, the 37-year-old has been destroyed mainly by a hip injury. He did not play at all last season and the year before that, it was only eight matches.

During his years in North America, Bäckström won the Stanley Cup in 2018 and he also has two World Championship gold medals and an Olympic Games silver medal on his list of merits.
