The stands were packed when Tre Kronor were to play the last match of the week in the "new" Globen. The spectators got to see a newly renovated arena, but they were not offered much entertainment.
At least not from the home team.
It didn't even take five minutes before Eemil Erholtz gave Finland the lead. Valtteri Pulli increased the score to 2–0 later in the first period, and after half the match, it was 3–0 – when Swedish goalkeeper Arvid Holm was left completely alone with two Finns.
It also became 4–0, before Tre Kronor finally managed to score a consolation goal when Henrik Tömmernes reduced the score with only two and a half minutes left to play.
It was the first conceded goal of the week for Finland, who won the four-nation tournament. Tre Kronor, where Magnus Hävelid has been the temporary national team captain since Sam Hallam is in North America for the star-studded "Four Nations", managed to score only three goals in as many matches.
