BP Triumphs in Thrilling 6-4 Comeback Against Norrköping

Seven goals in the first half, an incredible turnaround, a hat-trick hero and injury to a key player. The meeting between BP and Norrköping became something out of the ordinary. I have never been involved in that, said BP's Kevin Ackermann to Max at halftime.

The audience was treated to a special event when Brommapojkarna hosted IFK Norrköping at Grimsta. 6–4 to BP was the final result in the most goal-rich match of the year in Allsvenskan.

It only took five minutes before the guests could celebrate. David Moberg Karlsson set the tone when he elegantly curled in 1–0. Shortly afterwards, he also extended Norrköping's lead to 2–0.

BP would, however, respond quickly. After nine minutes, Victor Lind reduced the score to 1–2.

"Extremely strange"

Norrköping took command again. With a quarter of the game played, it became 3–1 and a few minutes later Isak Andri Sigurgeirsson thundered in 4–1.

Victor Lind reduced the score again, to 2–4, and just before the break, Adam Jakobsen headed in 3–4 on a cross.

When the referee blew for half-time, both players and coaches could only shake their heads at what they had been through.

It's an extremely strange half. I don't think I've ever experienced it in senior football, that there were seven goals in a half. It's too bad, said BP's Kevin Ackermann to Max at half-time.

"A disaster"

The second half did not start as intensively from the beginning. Norrköping, however, suffered a heavy setback when Moberg Karlsson was forced to break off the match after an hour of play.

With twenty minutes left, BP equalized to 4–4 and the deficit of 1–4 was thus wiped out.

Five minutes later, the turnaround was completed when Jakobsen made it 5–4. An incredible change of scene at Grimsta.

By the force of the momentum, Victor Lind also scored his third goal of the evening and fixed the final result to the incredible 6–4.

Ulf Kristiansson, BP coach, had difficulty taking in what had just happened.

It will probably take some time to digest this, he said to Max shortly after the final signal and continued:

I'm old and boring. I'm most disappointed about the first half if I'm going to be honest. It's a disaster. The first 20 minutes, I hope I never have to experience again.

With the win, BP climbs to ninth place in the table. Norrköping is eleventh.
