Mbappé is reasonably suspected, the lower degree of suspicion, for the crime that according to the newspaper should have been committed in central Stockholm during his visit to Sweden last week.
The suspected rape should have occurred on Thursday and was reported two days later. On Monday, the police investigated the hotel where the star and his companions stayed, according to Aftonbladet, which first reported on the incident.
The football star himself has denied the allegations on the platform X with the words "FAKE NEWS!!!!", false news, with a link to an article from the newspaper RMC Sport. Furthermore, he calls the situation "predictable" and suggests that the timing is not a coincidence.
On Tuesday, the football star and his former club PSG will meet in the appeals committee for the professional football league. Mbappé and the club have had a long-standing dispute over unpaid wages and bonuses to the star.
A spokesperson for Mbappé says in a statement to the news agency AFP that they will "take all necessary legal action to restore the truth".
"These allegations are completely false and irresponsible, and spreading them is unacceptable", the statement reads.
TT has sought the prosecutor who is handling the case.
I'm not going to say anything about this, the prosecutor previously said to Aftonbladet.
