The first sex toy was thrown into the meeting between Atlanta and Golden State in the American basketball league a week ago. Then a similar object was thrown in on Friday in the meeting between Chicago and Golden State.
Yesterday was the time again. In the meeting between Los Angeles and Indiana, Indiana's Sophie Cunningham was about to be hit by the green thing. Los Angeles' Kelsey Plum was quickly on the spot and kicked away the sex toy and the match could continue.
Afterwards, Los Angeles coach Lynne Roberts could hold her laughter:
It's dangerous, the players' safety is always number one, she says.
According to posts on social media, there have been attempts to throw in sex toys in other WNBA matches recently.
The league says in a statement that the safety of everyone in the arenas is "top priority" and that anyone caught throwing in objects will be banned for at least a year and reported to the police.
