Swedish-Led Project Maps a Quarter of the Ocean Floor, Revealing Surprises

We have better maps of the moon than of the ocean floor. But a partially Swedish-led initiative has now obtained data covering a quarter of the deep sea. There is still much undiscovered down there, says researcher Martin Jakobsson. There will be surprises in the form of very large volcanic peaks that stick up. You can absolutely find something equivalent to the Kebnekaise massif.
