In the documents, which have been published by Democrats in Congress, it appears that Musk was invited to Epstein's island in December 2014.
Musk has previously said that Epstein invited him to the island but that he declined.
It also appears that Epstein planned a lunch with tech billionaire Peter Thiel in 2017 and breakfast with US President Donald Trump's former advisor Steve Bannon in 2019.
The potential meeting with Bannon would have taken place just a few months before Epstein was charged with abuse of minors.
Recently, the developments surrounding Donald Trump's connection to Epstein have intensified, among other things due to a letter that Trump is said to have sent to Epstein being made public. Trump denies that he wrote it. The President has also sued the newspaper The Wall Street Journal after publications about Trump and Epstein.
