Worse than expected for Europe's industries

It is going worse than expected for the industry within the eurozone.

New figures from Eurostat show that industrial production fell by 3.9 percent in June compared to the previous year. Analysts had expected a decline of 2.9 percent, according to Bloomberg's compilation.

Compared to May, production in the industry fell by 0.1 percent. Here, analysts had instead expected an increase of 0.5 percent.
