The Swedish driver star Björn Goop has won the Prix d'Amerique three times, including two years in a row with Face Time Bourbon (2020-2021).
This year, Goop was aiming for a fourth victory with the big blue-yellow hope San Moteur, which is co-trained and co-owned by his uncle Håkan Arvidsson, according to Aftonbladet.
The horse was involved in an incident in the first start when it jumped the gun and got tangled up with the race favorite Go On Boy. There was a restart, but then San Moteur galloped off immediately and was out of contention.
Then, the favorite repeated its performance with home star Idao de Tillard and driver Clément Duvaldestin. The team held on to the finish line of the Vincennes track and won the big race for the second year in a row.
The second blue-yellow hope Don Fanucci Zet finished ninth.
