Winnipeg set a new NHL record tonight, with 14 wins in their first 15 matches of the season. Never before has an NHL team started the season so strongly.
The record was a fact after Dallas was defeated 4–1.
Winnipeg's coach Scott Arniel says he is amazed, but only a little, considering the performance of the team's players:
They must be incredibly proud of what they have done.
Only Toronto has defeated Winnipeg this season. Swedish Toronto star William Nylander was involved in stopping the winning streak at the beginning of last week, he then scored one goal and two assists.
