Linné University in Kalmar and Växjö was hit by a wave of suspected AI cheating last summer, reports P4 Kronoberg. The university has reported 32 suspected cases compared to none at all in the summer of 2023.

Pro-rector Niklas Ammert does not know why so many cases were discovered just last summer.

Now it's starting to increase a bit and we don't really know if it's because students are using AI more or if we've become better at identifying, detecting and discovering this cheating, he says.
