Lindsey Vonn was on her way to a top placement in Sunday's super-G in Cortina d'Ampezzo. But instead of a podium spot, the 40-year-old American, who has made a comeback in the Alpine World Cup this winter, crashed.
Vonn was however able to quickly get up and ski down the slope on her own.
Throughout her career, Cortina d'Ampezzo, which will be an Olympic Games slope next year, has been a favorite spot for Vonn. This weekend ended with a 20th place in Saturday's downhill, and a crash.
Italian Federica Brignone won Sunday's super-G ahead of two Swiss: Lara Gut-Behrami and Corinne Suter.
