Sweden lost clearly on Saturday, 61–78, against Portugal in a practice match ahead of the upcoming European Championship in basketball which begins on August 27.
The loss is Sweden's third in a row during the rehearsal for the championship. On Sunday, it was a loss against Poland with 72–74, on Thursday a loss against Iceland with 70–73.
Only three nations, Cyprus, Iceland and Portugal, are lower ranked than Sweden ahead of the European Championship. Against Portugal, Pelle Larsson was the best Swede with 17 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds.
Sweden's last European Championship rehearsal is against Estonia on Wednesday. The first European Championship match is played against Finland on August 27.
