Åhman and Hellvig won their quarterfinal against the Argentine brother duo Nicolás Capogrosso and Tomas Capogrosso, 21–13, 21–16.

The other Swedish duo had it a bit tougher, but they also managed to win in straight sets against the Poles Bartosz Losiak and Michal Bryl, 21–19, 21–18.

The two Swedish teams met earlier in the tournament as well, a match that the Olympic Games gold medalists took home with 21–12, 21–15.

The loss meant that Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson were forced to play a playoff match, which they won – and after having made it past the quarterfinals they now get a chance for revenge.

The all-Swedish semifinal is played at 5 pm Swedish time and is broadcast on SVT.

Corrected: In an earlier version of the text, the wrong result was stated for the match where the two Swedish teams met earlier in the tournament.
