Kim went viral during the competitions in Paris last summer, where she took Olympic Games silver on 10 meter air pistol. The outside world took notice of the 32-year-old thanks to her cool, almost nonchalant, style with futuristic shooting glasses and a backwards cap.

But now she's putting the pistol on the shelf for a while. Kim Ye-Ji's agent announces that she's taking a break from her career to spend time with her daughter. She's said to be exhausted after all the competitions combined with the great commotion during and after the Olympic Games.

"She's felt increasingly tired after competitions and training, together with the public's great interest in her," says the agent.

Kim Ye-Ji has no thoughts of quitting shooting altogether, but doesn't know exactly when she can be back. In an interview with AFP earlier this fall, she said she hopes to compete until she's 50 years old.
