A man in his 30s with far-right connections is suspected of stabbing a 12-year-old on a shopping centre in Oulu, Finland, on Thursday evening.
He is then said to have attempted to chase another child who was accompanying the 12-year-old at the Valkea shopping centre, according to Yle, but was stopped by security guards.
The man was arrested outside the shopping centre and is suspected of two attempted murders.
The 12-year-old, who has a foreign background, was stabbed repeatedly from behind. The child suffered serious injuries, but their condition is stable.
