Iran will be subjected to "maximum pressure" from the USA, says President Donald Trump, and warns of a tougher attitude towards Iran following suspicions that the country is trying to develop nuclear weapons.
What may be included in the increased pressure on Tehran was not disclosed, except that Trump hoped that the new direction "will hardly need to be implemented". The announcement was made simultaneously as Trump reinstated a comprehensive sanctions regime against Iran.
At the same time, the President hoped for a success story in the relationship with Iran.
