The USA is willing to make peace with Iran, provided that the Islamic state does not have nuclear weapons. This is written by President Donald Trump in response to what he calls exaggerated media reports.

In the shadow of the developments in the Gaza Strip, Trump's order for "maximum pressure" against Iran also received significant attention on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, he writes that the reporting on the US "working with Israel to break Iran into small pieces" is "EXTREMELY EXAGGERATED".

"I want Iran to be a great and successful country, but one that does not get to have nuclear weapons", he writes on his platform Truth Social. "I would strongly prefer a verified nuclear disarmament agreement, which allows Iran to peacefully grow in prosperity".

A previous agreement between Iran and Western powers, abbreviated as JCPOA in English, fell apart after the US under Trump's previous term jumped out in 2018.
