It was a thrilling conclusion to Tjejvasan 2025.
When it all came down to the wire, a group of six skiers had positioned themselves to sprint for the win. Among them were several big names, including Norwegian Emilie Fleten, who is second in the overall standings in Ski Classics, and Swedish Jenny Larsson, who is third.
And the first to cross the finish line was also 29-year-old Larsson, who outskied them all. It was the first time in her career that she won Tjejvasan.
There was only one focus, it was just that finish line I had to be first across, says Larsson to SVT and continues:
It's great to succeed. I've wanted this win for a long time now, and just being number one is so "awesome" anyway.
Second place went to Louise Lindström, and Norwegian Julie Kvale Støstad took third place.
Correction: In an earlier version, the wrong third-place winner was stated.
