Katarina Vangdal is leaving her job as national team captain for the golf team – after 14 years in the position. This spring, she will take up a position as sports manager at the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK).
"I will never completely leave golf. I have worked within national team activities for over 30 years and golf is in my heart and soul. At the same time, I am motivated to continue working in the service of sports in my new role at SOK", she says in a press release.
The 56-year-old Vangdal has since autumn 2023 been working on a coaching project within SOK and has been on half-time leave of absence from her job as national team captain.
SOK is simultaneously recruiting another sports manager, namely Inês Lopes, who has been sports manager at the Swedish Paralympic Committee for 15 years.
