Two youths from Karlskoga are sentenced to long prison terms for an attempted murder of a 25-year-old man in Hägersten in southern Stockholm in December last year. One of them, an 18-year-old, is sentenced to 17 years in prison.
According to Södertörn's district court, it is a matter of a crime that has been "well-planned, deliberate and carried out in a so-called gang environment", and the convicted are said to have acted on behalf of a man with ties to the so-called Dalen network.
The attempted murder occurred just before 1 pm in a residential area. One of the convicted, an 18-year-old man, approached the victim's parked car and shot him with multiple shots in the upper body and face.
In a getaway car, a then 17-year-old waited for the shooter. However, the car was unable to drive away for several minutes due to the tires slipping in the snow.
The shot man was able to get out of his car and stumbled upon people who alerted an ambulance. The man was hospitalized in intensive care for seven days for injuries considered life-threatening.
The shooter is sentenced to 17 years in prison, while the younger teenager is sentenced to 6 years in prison, taking into account his age at the time of the crime. He will also be deported.
In total, ten people are convicted in the case for crimes linked to the attempted murder, among other things.
