A person in Kabul detonated explosives that the person was carrying on their body, according to the police in the Afghan capital.
"Unfortunately, six civilians, including a woman, were killed, and 13 others were injured," writes the police spokesperson Khalid Zadran on X.
Afghanistan has long been heavily affected by terrorist violence, but the past few months have been relatively calm on that front in the Taliban-ruled country.
No group has yet taken responsibility for Monday's act.
