At least twelve Iranian troops have been killed in an Israeli attack north of Aleppo in Syria, according to the London-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR).
The air strike is said to have caused powerful explosions at a factory. The dead are of both Syrian and foreign origin, according to SOHR.
Israel rarely comments on specific attacks in Syria but has repeatedly stated that the country will not allow Iran to increase its presence there.
