Mark D. Ross, a member of the American hip-hop group 2 Live Crew, has died at the age of 58. The group reports this via its Instagram account.
Ross, also known as Brother Marquis, and the other group members became known for their danceable songs with vulgar texts, including "Me so horny".
2 Live Crew became notorious with 1989's "As Nasty as They Wanna Be", an album that a Florida court ruled was obscene and therefore illegal to sell – at the time a unique ruling.
