Among the participants are Åke Jönsson and Ros-Mari Jansson, known from the TV series "Ullared", who are now going abroad together for the first time. Others who appear in the program are Karaoke kings Anders Moberg and Kinderick "DJ Kinderick" Thompson from Tumba, as well as comedian Eric Sporrong with his family from Jönköping.

"Charterfeber" has been broadcast in Norway since 2006 and now the concept is coming to Sweden.

"With colorful personalities, unexpected meetings and recognizable vacation mishaps, this is feelgood TV at its best", says Alexander Tanno at Viaplay in Sweden, in a press release.

However, whether the series will address the more negative impact of tourism on the local population is more uncertain. In response to TT's question about the local protests against tourism on the Canary Islands being noticed in "Charterfeber", Viaplay's press chief Susanne Nylén answers in a written comment:

"We recorded 'Charterfeber' in the spring and did not notice anything. It was a lovely and fun recording that we perceived as being appreciated on site."

The series will be shown later this year on Viaplay and TV3.
