Hamilton Cautions Against Rushing F1 Film Sequel

In the creation of the film "F1", the producers collaborated with the real Formula 1 circus to ensure authenticity. Racing star Lewis Hamilton says now that he just wants to enjoy the film's success.

The seven-time Formula 1 champion is executive producer for the film with Brad Pitt in the lead role as a tough racing driver who makes a comeback late in his career. The cast also includes names like Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon.

The film had its international premiere on June 25 and has become Apple's biggest cinema success so far with revenues of $144 million globally during the first weekend.

The film has been in the works for four years. It has been a lot of work, especially for the director Joseph Kosinski, says the Ferrari driver and warns against rushing a sequel.

Most sequels are much worse, so rushing one is probably the worst thing we can do.

Hamilton, who is now preparing for this weekend's British Grand Prix, says he brought F1 routines to the film industry by asking for a "debriefing" of the project in the same way that the teams analyze a race before moving on to the next.

Let's review what went well and what we could have done better. I do not know if they ever do that in the film industry, but it is something that I have learned from here.
