As good as in the 90s and completely free from drama, it says in the reviews after Oasis' reunion concert in Cardiff yesterday.

The Britpop band's first concert in 16 years gets five out of five stars from The Guardian, The Independent and NME. The newspapers note that the band seems to have "ignored" the previous 2000s and completely focused on the hit songs from the 1990s.

"It creates an incredibly powerful set for a completely admiring audience," writes The Guardian's reviewer Alexis Petridis.

The American newspaper Variety notes that a lot has happened in the world since the members of Oasis stood on stage together "but thankfully no one told Oasis".

According to several reviewers, the entire concert was like moving back to the 1990s at the same time as many in the audience were probably too young to have been there last time.

The Independent describes the concert as "two uninterrupted hours of hit songs" and notes that there was limited small talk. Several media outlets write, however, that the brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher – apart from playing the same songs – did not interact much with each other on stage.

"It's lively and drama-free," writes NME about the brothers seeming to have gotten along during the entire concert.

When the band split up in 2009, a bitter conflict began between the brothers. In August last year, they surprisingly announced that they would reunite and go on tour.
