A shooting took place in a residential area in Handen, southern Stockholm, on Sunday night.
The police were alerted to the address just after 2 am.
We received calls due to loud bangs, and when we arrived at the scene, we found evidence that a shooting had taken place, says Johan Hårderup, duty officer at the Stockholm police.
A large search operation for a suspected perpetrator is underway in the area, which has been cordoned off, but the police are still tight-lipped about what was targeted.
I'm not going into details about what we're seeing on the scene, but no one is injured and we currently have no one in custody, says Johan Hårderup.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation into aggravated weapons offences.
