A plane with 254 passengers had to turn around and head to Copenhagen.

When a plane goes through severe turbulence, there is a standard procedure that is part of the safety measures. It means that the plane must undergo a thorough inspection, says Lindgren Kaoukji.

SAS has neither hangars nor technicians in Miami, which means that the plane could need to stay there for several days or weeks.

The plane landed at Kastrup at 23.15.

Then we meet them with what we call "special assistance". It's of course not fun not to reach a destination, but it can also be someone who has experienced discomfort or has a lot of questions.

Afterwards, the passengers were taken to a hotel. On Friday, they will be put on a new flight to Miami.

SAS has no information about any serious personal injuries.

If someone had been seriously injured, we would have received a report about it.
