This is what the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) writes in a press release.

Poluchin took, among other things, silver in the 7.5 kilometer visually impaired biathlon sprint. A race where Modin finished eighth. As a result of Poluchin's disqualification, Modin is now considered seventh in the race.

The IPC has accused Nikolaj Poluchin, now 42 years old, of being part of the Russian doping scandal involving the exchange of urine samples during the Olympic Games and Paralympics on home soil. Something the Russian claims he had no knowledge of. He has also tested positive for the banned substance trimetazidine out of competition. Which at the time was not a doping offense.

During the Paralympics in Sochi over eleven years ago, Poluchin was also part of the Russian cross-country skiing team that took gold in the 4x2.5 kilometer relay. At the time, Zebastian Modin took silver along with Helene Ripa. The result of that race will not be affected by Poluchin's doping offense.
