Before the strike by the Swedish Nurses' Association, which is expected to begin on Tuesday, Region Västerbotten has gone into emergency mode.
The Swedish Nurses' Association has issued two strike notices to Region Västerbotten. The first affects a number of operations at the University Hospital of Northern Sweden in Umeå, and the second concerns a number of health centers, 1177 on the phone, and further operations at the county's three hospitals.
The negotiations between the Swedish Nurses' Association and Region Västerbotten on Friday ended with the union adjusting the strike measures that the employer had deemed harmful to society. Despite this, the employer believes that the strike will affect life and health and therefore goes into emergency mode, which is the lowest level of readiness that a service can be put into.
