Reduced snuff tax – more expensive to smoke

It will be cheaper to snuff from and including this autumn. It is clear since the Riksdag has voted for the proposal to reduce the snuff tax by 20 per cent.

At the same time, it will be more expensive to smoke when the tax is increased by nine per cent on cigarettes, cigars, smoking tobacco and other tobacco.

The new taxes on tobacco and nicotine will come into effect on 1 November this year.
