After a massive seizure of narcotics in Åstorp, four men and one woman are now being prosecuted, reports HD/Sydsvenskan. The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth between 57 and 155 million kronor, depending on at which level they would have been sold, according to the prosecutor.
This includes, among other things, 108 kilograms of amphetamine. But what stands out the most is the large quantities of mefedron (34 kilograms), ketamine (ten kilograms), and the synthetic drug 3-CMC (80 kilograms). This is about record-large quantities by national standards, according to the prosecutor.
Some of the narcotics are of very high quality. The entire seizure would be enough for doses for a quarter of Sweden's population, says senior prosecutor Kristin Vernet to the newspaper.
The suspects are between 25 and 31 years old, and all are being prosecuted, despite their denials, for aggravated narcotics offenses.
