"The latest discriminatory chants from Paris Saint-Germain supporters are unacceptable" writes LFP in a statement on Sunday.
The chants, which were mainly expressed by the most fanatical supporters (ultras), were heard for around ten minutes at Parc des Princes on Saturday evening and were directed at the major rival Marseille, whom PSG will meet away next Sunday.
The supporters were urged twice – via the loudspeaker system – to stop singing the homophobic chants.
PSG was forced to close the "ultra stand" during a match last season due to a similar incident. Now, the league organization's disciplinary committee will investigate Saturday's event.
Some PSG supporters will not be allowed at Stade Velodrome in Marseille next Sunday. This is due to security reasons, as there is a history of violence between the clubs' supporters.
Swedish national team player Sebastian Nanasi played for 87 minutes for Strasbourg, but left the pitch in Paris goalless when it became a 2-4 defeat. Nanasi has scored three goals and two assists in seven league matches for his new club.
