A police officer is being prosecuted for firing an "obviously indefensible" shot at a one-legged woman in Växjö on August 28 last year, reports P4 Kronoberg. The shot hit the woman's remaining leg.
The woman was aggressive and armed with an axe. Local media have previously reported that she also had a toy pistol, but the prosecutor has concluded that it was not a self-defense situation. Therefore, the police officer is being prosecuted for misconduct in office. The accused denies the crime.
