The Democrats' presidential candidate Kamala Harris has accepted the debate invitation from CNN on October 23. Her Republican rival Trump, however, says no and refers to his previous statements regarding additional debates: There will be no more.
After the first debate between Harris and Trump on September 10, he said he would not participate in more debates. Since then, he has opened up to the possibility of participating if "he feels like it".
Vice President Harris said she was "ready for another opportunity to share the stage with Donald Trump", according to her campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon in a statement.
"Trump should not have any problem agreeing to this debate", the statement continued.
On X, Harris wrote that she "gladly" accepts a second debate and hopes Trump decides to participate.
