Two police officers have been shot to death in the city of Tremonton in the American state of Utah. Additionally, a third police officer was shot and injured and a police dog.
The police were alerted on Sunday evening local time about a disturbance in a residence.
When the police officer who arrived first spoke with a person in the residence, an armed man came out of the house and opened fire. The police officer and another police officer who had arrived were shot to death.
The perpetrator also fired several shots at a third police officer who was injured. A police dog was also injured in the shooting.
The shooter dropped his weapon after witnesses persuaded him to give up. He is arrested, suspected of murder.
