Israel's Prime Minister says that no country would simply accept an Iranian attack without acting.
He simultaneously praises the military, and claims that the Islamist Hamas is "as good as finished".
Nor will the Shia Muslim Hezbollah in Lebanon be able to withstand Israel's military pressure, he says.
We have knocked out a large part of the rockets and robots Hezbollah has collected over the years, says the Prime Minister and adds:
We have changed the course of the war and the balance of power.
A few hours earlier, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had repeated Friday's threat that Iran will "respond proportionally" to Israel's attacks.
On a visit to the Syrian capital Damascus, he added that the response will be strong.
For every action, there will be a proportional and similar response from Iran, and it will even be stronger.
He also stated that Iran's stance is that "the most important issue is a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza".
