Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is denied a request to postpone his testimony in a court case where he is accused of corruption. The District Court in Jerusalem motivates its decision by stating that the Prime Minister has had five months to prepare, reports Israeli media.
Netanyahu's defenders had requested a postponement of the testimony by ten weeks and have stated that the Prime Minister has not been able to prepare due to the time pressure of handling a multi-front war.
The court says it is not convinced that there has been a "substantial change in circumstances" that motivates the postponement of the defense part of the corruption trial.
The decision means that Netanyahu will be called to the witness stand on December 2.
