A man who was previously suspected of murdering an elderly man in Nybro municipality has been cleared from the case. This is because it has been revealed that the elderly man died due to illness, writes the Prosecution Authority in a press release.
"I am now discontinuing the preliminary investigation since there is no longer any suspicion of a crime", says prosecutor Magnus Argus according to the press release.
On October 26, an 85-year-old man was found dead in Nybro municipality. The circumstances were initially described as unclear, and later a man was arrested as reasonably suspected of murder, which is the lower degree of suspicion. He was later released on bail.
The two men are said to have had a prior relationship with each other, according to local media.
